5.0 out of 5 stars - A very enlightening read

When I first came across this book (My Career as a Book Reviewer Defending the Faith) I was excited. As a Christian, I have honestly never thought about how book reviewing could tie in with one’s faith. It makes a lot of sense. When you are of a certain faith, whether it be Christian or another faith, when your beliefs are mentioned in secular materials it’s a good chance you may feel like the creator got something wrong. Maurice A. Williams took his platform as a book reviewer and decided to give Christians a voice in his reviews.
In Maurice A. Williams’ book My Career as a Book Reviewer Defending the Faith I started thinking about how my faith affects what I read and how I interpret what I read. What I found interesting is that Williams used his actual book reviews to write this book. Each chapter is a different book where Williams reviews the book strictly through the eyes of a Christian. In his reviews, Williams manages to point out the flaws he feels appears in the books he reviews when their authors reference different biblical topics. His reviews are very through. He even sites his sources at the end of every chapter so you can research them yourself.
I can’t even lie I was so impressed with the reviews I am thinking of reading some of the titles mentioned in the future. In all this is a great book. It made me think about how I will process things that I read in the future and pay attention to how biblical themes are presented in secular books. Good read I am undoubtedly going to read it again.
